      Description

Each day typically starts in the early morning with guides searching for fresh mountain lion tracks in the snow or dirt. Once a track is located, the hounds are released to follow the trail until the lion is treed. From there, hunters travel as close as possible by vehicle before making a short hike—usually a half mile or less, though longer hikes are possible—to reach the tree and take their shot. Hunters should be prepared for variable weather conditions, travel by truck, UTV, or other off-road vehicles, and moderate hiking through terrain.
